    Teacher Resource Site

    Incorporating the Interactive Learner Site
The Teacher Resource Site contains 'grab and go' lessons for primary teachers. Lesson plans can be read online or downloaded, and handouts, worksheets and the accompanying classroom PowerPoint Presentations are also included.

The site also has further recommended reading and additional interactive materials.

Each lesson links to the Scottish  Curriculum for Excellence.

The lessons also demonstrate the links to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (4 Quality Education, 8 Decent Work and Economic Growth, 9 Industry Innovation & Infrastructure, 10 Reduced Inequalities, 11 Sustainable Cities and Communities, 12 Responsible Consumption and Production and 13 Climate Action).

    Register Interest

    Teacher Resource Site Gallery

Once you register you will be given a login and password. You access the site through https://schools.panmurehouse.org/teachers
You can read through and download 'how to' guides that explain how to use the different sections on the site
The lesson plans in Trade, Enlightenment and Debate are available to read through online or download
You can download classroom presentations, lesson plans and learner handouts directly from the site.

    Interactive Learner Site

Our interactive map of Edinburgh offers an immersion into 18th century Enlightenment Scotland, complete with a 'virtual escape room' and the gallery inside Panmure House.

Learners can partake in quizzes and teachers can make use of a timeline, leader boards and debate and discussion techniques for learning. Pupils can navigate this as they choose or interact with their peers as directed by their teacher.

    AGE APPROPRIATE DESIGN CODE

We acknowledge the Age Appropriate Design Code code and endeavour to ensure our website is a safe and privacy-friendly place for individuals under 18. Accordingly, our settings are privacy-friendly by default. The users of the Smith Schools' Series Interactive Learner Site are given unique identifiers by their teachers and so no identifiable information is taken from the learners. Read our Privacy policy for more information.

    Interactive Learner Site Gallery

Once you have registered your students their journey begins
The learners will take a 'Mentor Quiz' to see who they have most in common with.
The learners can then navigate an online 1700's Edinburgh, take part in an Escape Room or navigate a timeline of Adam Smith's life. You can decide whether they do this independently or as part of a class lesson
You can award 'coins' for completing lessons or activities. These coins show on a leaderboard. You could get some competition going during your lessons or use the coins as a reward system
